Business Green names Green MP Caroline Lucas "Politician of the Year"

Caroline Lucas, was named Politician of the Year, by Business Green last night in recognition of her work to promote a green economy. She is obviously delighted and in her speech on accepting the award said "Green business play a vital role in our economy, not only in terms of their environmental performance but also in terms of the many jobs they create. Far from being a distraction from our current economic difficulties they are one firm route out of them - that's why we need a more positive Government framework to enable them to flourish."
