Ashley Baxter is an energy consultant. He is Parish Councillor in the Lincolnshire village of Deeping St James, where he lives.
Born in Norfolk, Ashley moved to the East Midlands to study at Nottingham Trent University. As Student Union President he campaigned for better childcare and accommodation.
He then worked in Local Government for ten years and earned the title of ‘Energy Manager of the Year' in 2006.

Ashley is currently leading an initiative to start a community car club in the Deepings.
Ashley is also standing for election to Lincolnshire County Council in the Market & West Deeping Ward.
Ashley actively campaigns on issues of global importance including social justice and the arms trade.
He comments "It is shocking that the EU continues to impose oppressive tariffs on developing countries while insisting they open markets to western imports."
