Ashley Baxter

Ashley BaxterAshley Baxter is an energy consultant. He is Parish Councillor in the Lincolnshire village of Deeping St James, where he lives.

Born in Norfolk, Ashley moved to the East Midlands to study at Nottingham Trent University. As Student Union President he campaigned for better childcare and accommodation.

He then worked in Local Government for ten years and earned the title of ‘Energy Manager of the Year' in 2006.

He was also active in his local community. He:

  • helped to transform credit unions in Nottingham
  • established a Neighbourhood Watch in his area

Vote for a Greener Lincolnshire 

South Lincolnshire is in many ways the poor relation of the East Midlands. Its overstretched public services include:

  • police
  • youth and community
  • health provision

Ashley is currently leading an initiative to start a community car club in the Deepings.

Ashley is also standing for election to Lincolnshire County Council in the Market & West Deeping Ward.

Good News for the Poor 

Ashley actively campaigns on issues of global importance including social justice and the arms trade.
